Pleasant Hill Prarie View Methodist Church

Prarie View Methodist Church

Prairie View Methodist Church: Circa 1869 a log church was built on 4 A. of land deeded by Allan Dolson and wife for church and cemetery purposes. This church was used by three denominations: Methodist, Baptist, and Christian. In the early 1880s the church was in a dilapidated condition and the Baptists built the Providence Church on adjoining land. All denominations used this church [assume this means Providence] until 1893 when the present Methodist Church was built on the site of the old log church.
