I am looking for
information on my g/g/grandfather, William J Bond. He lived in Stoddard
county from about 1890-1930's, he was a blacksmith. What I am looking for
is information on family lore that he was a counterfieter. He was jailed
(we think for it, it was coins he was counterfieting). From what I have
narrowed down it happend between 1910-1925.
Any leads on where to look and or write to would be greatly appreciated.

Searching for death info on gg
grandfather, Franklin Buford HANKS, and his wife, Emily (nee Lewis)
Hanks. Franklin was born 16 Sep 1834 in Maury Co., TN. Family moved to
McNairy Co., TN in 1849. He married Emily Lewis in Jun 1854. In Feb. 1863
they left TN for Southern Illinois, finally settling in Jackson Co in
Fall of 1863. He served on County Board and as County Sheriff. In May
1883 they sold their farm and apparently left Illinois. Their youngest
daughter, Laura (b. ca. 1875) died 17 Nov 1885 and was buried in Cruse
Cemetery east of Advance (Cemeteries of Stoddard Co., MO). In 1890
charges of illegal sales of alcohol were dismissed against F. B. Hanks in
Stoddard Co. Court. No further evidence has been found. Oldest son, John
Thomas Hanks and wife, Flora (nee Burkey) were married 19 Sep. 1876 in
Jackson Co., IL but are living in Pike TS, Stoddard Co in 1880 (Census)
Any suggestions on resources in Stoddard Co to search for further info on
F. B. Hanks and possible death there?

I am looking for anyone
with any connection to D. (Dock) Montgomery who was married to a Betty
(Elizabeth) Carlin in Stoddard Co. The Montgomery's came from TN and
this was the only trace I have of them in MO.
Also, trying to find a SAM "DUDE" HARDIN who was possibly in the Parma-
Peach Orchard, MO area. At one time he was engaged to a VELIA DORIS
HOLLAND. Would appreciate any help in this if anybody out there knows
what became of him.

across the name Ruth M Harris who was married in 1940 in Bloomfield MO.
to a John Hysop. LDS records say she died in Bloomfield in 1991. Noting
that your family history includes the surname "Harris", we wondered if

Isaac Green Harris born in 1844 in Paris, TN Henry County. He was on the
union side of the civil war Company F. He was married to Mary Elizabeth
Murray (she was his 3rd wife). They were the parents to my grandmother
Effie Elizabeth Harris Warren born in Essex, Stoddard County, MO in 1893
and died in Flint Michigan May 21, 1966. Isaac G. Harris was a
plantation owner in SE Missouri when he died in 1916. Please help

Hi there, Im searching for information related to Andrew Jackson Hart b.1858,
his son Dewey Delmond Hart (dates unknown). And on the other side James Martin
Gray b.1858, or his son John Albert Gray b.1892
All of which were either born or lived in Stoddard county.
My mothers side of the family also came from the Dexter area roughly the same
time. Surname Dinger, however I have no first names or dates as of yet.

Louis (Lewis) Hay who married a Maggie Rodgers(Rogers) and had two
children in Stoddard County, Odus (Oddit, Odie)born in March 28,1899, who
later married Grace Hayes of Poplar Bluff and Thomas, born about 1897. I
have found them in the 1910,1920, &1930 census with different info on
where they were born, and where their parents were born. Any information
you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

site of JOHN THOMAS "TOM" HINDBAUGH (HEINBAUGH) who died "near
Greenbriar" in March 1900. As well, his spouse "Lottie" Charlotte. He
arrived near Bollinger County abt 1896 coming with a Lane family out of
Green County Indiana. His wife died btw 1896-1899 and after his death
they left 4 children to be raised by the Bollinger County courts: Emil,
John, William Gratten and Ralph. Ralph married Cora Green, William
married Sena Elfrink. Emil and John are unaccountable after 1905. Any
data is appreciated. Really would like to find grave sites. John "Tom"
thought to have remarried a Perlis Lane or Dovey Fields which would also

Does anyone have William G. HORTON
1817-1903 or his son David Pinkney HORTON 1849-1897,in their index or
know if he held an office in Stoddard County or had an occupation?
William is listed as William Whorton (mispelling) in the Castor Twn.
Stoddard County 1860 census. If he owned land they must have paid taxes.
William G. traveled to Stoddard County Missouri with his wife Mary, and
their children, Martha J., Johnathon White, Walker Monroe, David Pinkney,
and Virginia (Jenny).in early 1850s from Weakley County, TNN
I have found his brothers, Daniel, Archibald Esaw, and George; and
sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah Ann, Catherine and Francis (twins) also
living in Stoddard County in the 1860 Census. Mary died after bearing 3
more children, William A. (1853), Adrion W. (1855), and Araminta (1856).
I would appreciate hearing anything about this family. William is my
husband's great great grandfather. Thanks to all who might look in their

D. Howard is living with his step-mother Mary, in Stoddard Co.
Also living with them is a little girl named Lizzie (Elizabeth). Mary is
widowed and Mr. Howard died between 1877-1880. Elizabeth marries Alonzo
Bolin.
Isaac marries Elizabeth Lowry- I believe shes the daughter of Elisha and
Mary Lowry, of Stoddard Co.

3rd at 6:15 p.m. weight 8 lbs 9 oz to Mr. and Mrs J.E. Huggins eyes blue

I believe that she is my older sister that I never knew. My mother
passed away February 15th 2004 and left an album with pictures and this
birth anouncement was stuck between two pages. Other pictures in the
album were cut out. My mother was born in Douglas Arizona Feb 12, 1929
and my father J.E. Huggins was born December 6, 1927 in Ill and died
January 18th 1953 in Douglas Arizona.
