Blocker
I'm looking for Professor Samuel A.
Blocker, who was a schoolteacher in possibly both Stoddard and Dunklin
counties between 1870 and 1880. If anyone knows anything about the old
schools in Stoddard, and whether there may have been a Catholic school,
please respond. Also, we don't know where Samuel Blocker or his wife,
Margaret Jane, was buried, just that he died either in Stoddard or
Dunklin.
THANKS!

Bright
White
I am researching the Bright
family of Ducks Creek. Phillip Bright born 1796 in NC married Eliza? in
Stoddard CO 1828. Phillip is listed in the 1840 and 1850, but not the
1860 census. He must of died between 1850 and 60. Eliza is listed on the
1860 census.
I am looking for any info that will state where in NC he was born and to
whom? I am hoping that maybe is death certificate would say or marriage
record or a will. Also more info on Eliza would be helpful. They had a
few children, two that I know of are John Wesley and Henry Bright. John
Wesley Bright married Elizabeth White.
Thank you so much and if I can look up anything for folks in the New
England archives please contact me. Dorothea
