William Parker Robertson, seated far left, was born 2 September 1850 in Monroe County, Indiana and died 10 February 1930 at home in Taintor, Prairie Township, Mahaska County, Iowa. His ancestors have been traced to Virginia in the late 1700's. From there they went to Tennessee, then Indiana. William then migrated to Iowa, settling in Poweshiek County in 1855.
William married Sarah E. Knox, seated second from right, 28 February 1871 in Sarah's father's residence Sugar Creek Township, Poweshiek County, Iowa. Sarah was born 13 December 1854 in Aledo, Mercer County, Illinois and died 23 March 1922 at home in Taintor, Prairie Township, Mahaska County, Iowa. Sarah's ancestors have been traced to Maine in the late 1600's. From there they went to Illinois, then to Poweshiek County, Iowa circa 1865.
Their children are, standing from left to right, Ada Gertie (Abt. July 1884 - 1966), Lewis Robert (28 January 1875 - 7 June 1908), Ida Mae (8 July 1879 - 29 April 1957), William Riley (5 April 1877 - 23 June 1967), John Henry (16 June 1881 - 8 September 1950). Seated from left to right, Blanche (22 July 1886 - 3 January 1969), Harley Clark (23 March 1889 - 12 November 1968) and James Wesley (4 February 1871 - 28 February 1942).
