Pierson U. S. G. Sexton was born 5 January 1867 in Garden Hall, Prairie Township, Mahaska County, Iowa and died 11 July 1950 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in University Park, Mahaska County, Iowa. His ancestors have been traced to (West) Virginia in the late 1700's. From there they went to Illinois, then to Mahaska County, Iowa in 1855.
Pierson married Mary Eleanor Farr 25 December 1888 in Mahaska County, Iowa. Mary was born 5 May 1869 in Garden Hall, Prairie Township, Mahaska County, Iowa and died 3 August 1947 at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa. Her ancestors have been traced to Pennsylvania in the early 1800's. From there they went to Ohio, then to Mahaska County, Iowa in 1856.
Pierson and Mary had the following children: Lena Hazel (26 September 1890 - 23 December 1973), Russell Dale (11 April 1894 - August 1975), and Milen Joseph (15 September 1899 - 5 March 1959).
