Harley Clark Robertson was born 23 March 1889 in Searsboro, Poweshiek County, Iowa and died 12 November 1968 at Camair Convalescent Home in Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa. His ancestors have been traced to Virginia in the late 1700's. From there they went to Tennessee, then Indiana, before settling in Poweshiek County, Iowa in 1855.
Harley married Lena Hazel Sexton 12 August 1907 in Mahaska County, Iowa. Lena was born 26 September 1890 in New Sharon, Mahaska County, Iowa and died 23 December 1973 at home in New Sharon, Mahaska County, Iowa. Lena's ancestors have been traced to (West) Virginia in the late 1700's. From there they went to Illinois, then to Mahaska County, Iowa in 1855.
Their children are, from left to right, Melvin Dale (1 June 1916 - 5 October 1949), Glenna Hazel (13 March 1908 - 28 Januray 1992), Kenneth Harley (7 March 1910 - 9 November 1941) and Dortha Marie (18 November 1913 - 6 July 1964).
