Emil Edward Dahlstrom was born 13 November 1890 in Ishpeming, Marquette County, Michigan and died 3 December 1960 at home in Thornburg, Keokuk County, Iowa. His ancestors have been traced to Sweden in the late 1700's. From there his father came to Minnesota, then Michigan, then Iowa circa 1892.
Emil married Icie Blanche Waterhouse 22 December 1912 in Keokuk County, Iowa. Icie was born 1 April 1895 in Springfield, Keokuk County, Iowa and died 31 December 1960 in Thornburg, Keokuk County, Iowa. Icie's ancestors have been traced to New Jersey in the early 1700's. From there they went to Canada, then New York, then Illinois, and then to Iowa circa 1845.
Their children are Kenneth Earl, to the left of Emil, (5 December 1919 - 4 October 1982) and Melvin Floyd, to the right of Icie, (25 April 1913 - 10 June 2005).
