Caleb's second wife was Artia CHITWOOD I have no information on marriage, except Harriet Maude SPEER is the grand daughter of Caleb married George Franklin SHRUM on 11/3/1906 in Reynolds County. I am searching for an Elizabeth Louise JARVIS, that married Ninion Lewis BAY. She was born in 1859 is the only record I have. She was the mother of my Grandfather and all of his brothers and sisters. Something happened to her that I can find no record for. Ninion Lewis BAY was married to Nancy Jane Goodman GARRETT in Howell County in 1885. She raised the family, also my dad as his mother Jennie Tripplett Bay died when she was 22. Any help would be appreciated. I just heard from a lady that the JARVIS and BAY families were in the census in Reynolds County back in the 1860s or 70s. She and her parents are a missing link in my Bay research. My great grandfather Andrew, who was born in 1854 left for Arkansas abt 1873. About 1872 his grandmother had died, and in 1876 his mother and sister had went to AR with Andrew. I am looking for info on my g-g-grandfather Joseph BECK who may have migrated to Reynolds Co shortly before the Civil War from Illinois. He built a store/post office on what became the BECK homestead at Adair, or Logan's Creek. The post office was originally known as Corridon, MO, and later as Reynolds, MO. He was injured in the War, and lost a leg, which was sent back and buried in Polk Cemetery (therefore he has two headstones there - one for 1860, and one for the rest of him in the 1930s). He wore a pegleg and operated the store even after the post office was moved. Among his children are my g- grandfather Thomas BECK, who married Rosa MULLINS on 10-20-1887 according to county records previously posted on the web. Other children were boys Jerry BECK and John BECK, Belle BECK-SATTERFIELD, Annie BECK-HILL, and May (?) BECK.

William THOMAS may be the son of Jesse THOMAS who was born about 1792 in VA but he and his siblings came to the Shannon/ Reynolds Co Mo area in the early 1800's.
