LINES IN THE WOODFIELD TREE
THE WOODFIELD LEAFLET
My family history research began one day, way back in 1984 when, as a lunch appointment failed to materialise, I wandered into St. Catherine's House, London, to pass the time and see what lay within. As a result something worthwhile did actually materialise that lunchtime. I had my first fascinating appointment with genealogy, albeit that the record of that initial step into my family's history was written on the back of an envelope!
Things have moved on considerably since then and the scope of my research (often frustrating, sometimes rewarding and always piecemeal) has grown ever wider, encouraging me, with some hesitation, to publish my findings here.
The site will, I imagine, never be 'finished'. It will always develop and, hopefully, improve. I am aware that there's a lot of room for progress on both those fronts.
All visitors are welcome.
So relation, friend or 'stranger' - many thanks for calling by and good luck with whatever it is you're searching for.
