Elizabeth's "hiring out of slaves" agreement/contract was used in a thesis in the Missouri Historical Review. Part of the hiring agreement included a certain amount of new clothing and shoes. Also, "not to be worked in the miasma of the Missouri River bottoms. That portion of the thesis will be posted here as soon as a copy is obtained.
