Miller Cemetery

The Miller Cemetery is located about 7 miles SE of Platte City, near the farming community of Hampton. It is on the farm where Jesse Miller, a pioneer Platte County, settled when he came from Virginia. Jesse Miller, his wife Margaret, and their only daughter, Virginia Miller Rixey, are buried here. The cemetery is sometimes called the Rixey Cemetery as the land was bequeathed by Jesse Miller to his son-in-law, W. W. Rixey, who resided there until his death.
