"In memory of Captain Andrew Johnson, b: 1790, d: 1850". Served throughout the War of 1812. In the Battle of the Thames. Was legislator in both his adopted and native states and a long consistent member of the Baptist Church. Died in Louisville, KY., May 29. Born at Bryan's Station, KY. Note: Capt. Johnson was a nephew of Pres. Andrew Johnson.
