Higgins, Josiah, b: 1782 in Tennessee, d: 8/8/1841
Higgins, Barbara Smelser, his wife, b: 1779, d: 5/24/1840
Higgins, Ellen, daughter of Andrew Jackson and Susan Gregg Higgins, and grand-daughter of Josiah and Barbara Higgins, b: 11/9/1844, d: 5/20/1853. The exact location of these three graves is unknown, but, according to Mrs. Ella Lewis Staggs, of Agency, Missouri., a sister of Mary Ellen Higgins, they were buried on a farm owned by Josiah Higgins, "just east of the Strang farm." The Higgins, Strang and Dean families, all related, lived in Pettis township 50, Range 34, Sections 9 and 10, but an atlas dated 1877 shows no burying ground in that location. The three graves were covered by flat stone slab markers. The following five Higgins graves are in Walnut Grove Cemetery on Highway 71 just outside Parkville, Missouri.

Her parents were David Gregg, b: 10/28/1797, d: 7/15/1864, and Nancy Adams Gregg, b: 8/15/1801, d: 7/28/1875. Buried in Leavel Farm Cemetery.

Higgins, William Riley, son of Andrew Jackson and Susan Gregg Higgins, b: 5/8/1843, d: 9/15/1895

Higgins, David Bartleson, son of Andrew Jackson and Susan Gregg Higgins, b: 12/4/1850, d: 5/16/1926

Higgins, Sarah Malinda Noland, wife of David B. Higgins, and daughter of Obed C. Noland and Elizabeth Higgins Noland, b: 1/3/1902, age about 41. Her parents are buried in the Noland Cemetery.

The following Higgins graves are in the Marshall Cemetery, Platte city, Missouri, and well marked also.
