Located on hilltop back of farmhouse in NE quarter, NE quarter, Section 8, Township 51 N, Range 34 W. General location is 4 miles W and 1/2 mile N of the location where Prairie Point School stood on Highways 29 and 71; 1 mile N of water tower at Platte Woods.

Sallie Ann, wife of James M. Elgin and daughter of S. & N. Hubbard, d: 2/5/1865, age 27 years, 6 months, 19 days

Located about 3 1/2 miles SE of Platte City, Missouri. The land was originally owned by James Fox, whose will dated 5/25/1874, decreed that "The Graveyard in the quarter section on which I reside, shall remain forever and be kept as a family ground for burial purposes." See page 42, Vol. 1, Platte County Cemetery Records.
