The Sons of the American Revolution provide opportunities for youth to participate in several local, state, and national competitions designed to deepen their understanding and appreciation of our nation's founding. In addition to the two essay contests and the oration contest, the SAR works with the faculty in charge of local ROTC units in colleges and JROTC units in high schools to identify and recognize excellence among their cadets.
