Wyatt E. Lawson
Wyatt E. Lawson, Seligman, 76, died at 7;15 a.m. Sunday, January 18, 1976, at South Barry County Hospital, Cassville, Missouri, following a long illness.
He was born on March 14, 1899, in McDonald County and lived his entire lifetime in McDonald and Barry Counties. He was a retired farmer and was a deacon in the Mission Baptist Church in Washburn since September, 1938.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Belle Rose Lawson, whom he married on September 24, 1919, at Carthage; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Williams, Seligman and Mrs. Lois DeWitt, Hobbs, New Mexico, nine grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 1976, at Culver Chapel. Cassville. The Rev. Hugh Higgs and Rev. Gene Latshaw will officiate. Burial will be in King Cemetery south of Washburn. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
