***Pineville Democrat, 28 April 1916 A very sad accident happened at the gravel works Friday afternoon when N. E. He was released as soon as possible by the gravel men and was taken to town where Dr.s Beeson and Webster were called. They pronounced internal injuries and the right hip crushed. He was removed to the St. John hospital in Joplin Friday night on No. 4. Caldwell by Rev. Villines, after which he was laid to rest in the Marshall cemetery. He leaves a wife, six children, a mother, three brothers and two sister to mourn his untimely death.
