Carlin C. Stephens, 80 years old, Anderson, Missouri, brother of Louis Stephens of Wheaton, died at 2:30 Tuesday at Sale Hospital in Neosho where he had been a patient for three weeks.
Mr. Stephens was born June 19, 1905, in McDonald County to Nathan and Jane Lawson Stephens. He was a civil service employee, last employed as a fire patrolman at Camp Joseph Pendleton, Oceanside, California. He had lived in the Anderson area the past 16 years, moving there from Vista, California and was a member of the Faith Chapel Church there.
He married Byrline "Billie" Robbins on October 8, 1932, at Pineville, Missouri and she survives. Other survivors other than the brother at Wheaton, include a son, Bob L. Stephens of Henrietta, Oklahoma, a daughter Nanette Parish of Anderson, another brother, Frank Stephens of Scotia, California, six grandchildren and three great grand children.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Anderson Ozark Funeral Home with burial in Peace Valley Cemetery at Anderson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 at the funeral home.
