Palmyra Legion No. 73, Select Knights of A. O. U. W., was instituted by H. L. Dean, October l, 1883. The charter members were D. Willock, J. W. Proctor, W. G. Miller, G. B. Thompson, A. K. Zeigler, D. Welch, and others. The officers are David Willock, select commander; J. W. Proctor, vice commander; W. G. Miller, lieutenant commander; G. B. Thompson, recorder; A. K. Zeigler, treasurer; D. Welch,       recording treasurer; J. S. Dingle, chaplain; F. W. Smith, standard bearer; Thos. S. Rogers, senior workman; J. W. Owsley, junior workman; E. A. McLeod, Marshall; B. Zoller, guard. The membership is 37.
