Faber
Lodge
Ancient
Order of United Workmen
|
|
Ten years ago the
spot on which the present elegant hall of the A.O.U.W. now stands
was a blackened ruin. The successful organization of the Building
Association at that time
was due in large measure to the efforts of the workmen who, having
determined to build a hall found, as have many others since, that
unless they got their money from a Building Association, their
project must fail. And so the Building Association was organized
and the Workman Hall was built. That was ten years ago and today
the hall is paid for, the mortgage has been canceled and the
members of Faber Lodge, and especially James W. Proctor, who more
than any other one man is deserving of praise in this connection,
are purposing to celebrate the event. Below will be found a list
of the members and also of the deceased brothers.
