Cornman, Elza E. Funeral services for Mr. Elza E. Cornman, 71, were held Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Whitewater Christian Cemetery. Mr. Cornman died Feb. 17 at the Farmington Community Hospital. He was a resident of Route 5, Perryville and was a carpenter and farmer. He was born in Madison County on May 4, 1901, a son of Florence and David Wesley Cornman. He is survived by his wife Esther a. Agger Cornman of Route 5, Perryville; five children: Wilma Thompson, St. Peters; Wanda Hendrix, Berkeley; Dolores Kennon, Perryville; David E. Cornman, Sullivan and James W. Cornman, St. Louis. Also surviving are a number of sisters and a brother, Bertha Cobb, Glen Allen, Carrie Dunkin, Leadington; Lora Vehlewaid, Mountain Grove; Elmer Cornman, Mayfield, Ky., Edna Bone, Herculaneum; 21 grand children, seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He and Mrs. Cornman were married in Fredericktown on July 3, 1923. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Tim Kennon, Rodney Thompson, Neal Hendrix, Dean Hendrix, Jack Wood and David Kohler.
