Cheek, Bessie Leora - 1980
Bessie Leora Cheek of Marquand died Saturday September 27 
at the age of 87.  

Funeral services were held Monday September 29 at Moore's 
Chapel Church with the Rev. Jimmy Hicks and the Rev. 
Buford Miller officiating.  Burial was in Moore's Chapel 
Cemetery under the direction of the 
Homan Funeral Home.  

Pall bearers were Byron Cheek, Norman Cheek, Gene Griffon, 
Walter Janke, Buford Sitzes and Chester Shetley.  

Mrs. Cheek was born November 19 1892 near Marquand to 
the late Henry and Sarah Jane Sitzes.  She married Roy Cheek 
on November 25 1908.  He preceded her in death.  

Survivors include a son Gale Cheek and his wife Ona and many 
nieces, nephews and other relatives.  

Preceding Mrs. Cheek in death were her parents her husband
and her grandson Bobby.
