2.  Your name __Living _____________________

3. Why did you join the Lost Colony project?

I’m curious as to my origins. I know that I’m mixed blood, I have most of the  physical characteristics and they run in the family and my great great grandmother is a Bass born in North Carolina I’m also concerned about genetic vulnerabilities that might be passed on to my own descendants.

4. How is your Y-line DNA line connected to the colonists, the surnames, Native people or the location?

My great great great great grandfather was Stephen Farrow, (1790 Census, Greenville Co, SC) and the family name was Farrow as it migrated to Georgia, it became Farrar after 1820 in Perry Co Alabama

The 3 sections of the website are divided into genealogy, research and history.

Genealogy – typically this would be the specific genealogy of the line listed here on the site….so the mtdna for you.

I am including a mini-genealogy form below for you to complete which should help you to document your maternal ancestry.  Alternatively, you can upload a gedcom to either your personal results page at Family Tree DNA or mitosearch and let us know that you have done so.

5. Please provide a brief writeup (2 paragraphs to one page in length) on your line!

My great great grandmother was Jerusha Bass, daughter of Uriah Bass born in North Carolina circa 1828. She met and married my great great grandfather when their parents were neighbors homesteading in Perry Co, Alabama.   My great great grandfather was Thomas Farrow, and a record of his marriage to Judith Webb on 31 Jul 1814, in Morgan Co GA exists and can be confirmed. As I said the name became Farrar after migrating to Perry Co Alabama.

6.  Mini-Genealogy From Participant to Oldest Ancestor (completeform below)

Completing the form below, enter the current generation’s name in line 1 and add each generation on subsequent lines through your oldest ancestor.  You don’t need to provide personal info for living individuals, just a placeholder name.
