2.
Your name _Living______________________________
3.
Why did you join the Lost Colony project?
The
Brooks from Pitt County are a surname on the list and part of my family
from Anson appeared connected to the Pitt County crowd through DNA
studies of Abraham Brooks. However,
two different Brooks families exist in Anson County and I’m actually
descended through the other one, the I2a haplogroup.
4.
How is your Y-line DNA line connected to the colonists, the
surnames, Native people or the location?
It
isn’t. Mother’s line is
Pierce from Duplin County, NC and is a better chance.
5.
Please provide a brief writeup (2 paragraphs to one page in
length) on your line that has DNA tested!
We
know that the descendants of William Brooks I (b. 1736 VA) are testing
the same I2a because of various descendants across the country and
following the traditional migration patterns for the family.
These families are showing the same haplogroup, which is
apparently quite rare. Only
one Brooks shows as connected that is not from that line and he is from
Yorkshire, England. It
appears from this evidence that William Brooks I or his father, John is
the original immigrant to America.

Can’t

link to the colonists have the opportunity to join a project more suited
to their needs.
If
possible, please reply within the next week or so.

you very much,
