I descend from the Beasleys, Woodhams and Cheathams of early VA.  My earliest Beasley is John Beasley b. 1685 in Craven Co. NC and m. Sarah Joann Cagwell Jenkins.  

They had Solomon Beasley b. abt. 1707 in Beasley Island, Craven Co.  He m. Rachel Taylor.  

They had 

John Beasley Sr. b. 1750 m. Milly Smith, 1738 

Solomon Beasley Jr. b. abt 1748  

Benjamin Beasley b. ?.  Benjamin m. 1750 Obedience Cheatham b. and died aft. 1781.  

She was the dau. of Charles Chestham b. 1714 and Obedience Cheatham b1716. 

Obedience  was the dau. of Wm.Cheatham B. 1695 and d. 1761 in Chesterfield VA.  Wm. m. Obedience Branch b1771 in Henrico and died in Chesterfield Va.  

Her parents were Christopher Branch III b.1658 in Henrico and d. 1727.  He m. in Henrico to Ann Sherman.  

Christopher Branch was the son of Christopher Branch Jr. b. 1627 in Henrico VA and died 1665 in Charles City County, VA.  He was m. to ?.

C. Branch Jr. was son of ?  Branch who m. 1619 at St. Peter's, London, England.  

 

Therefore, my first Branch must have arrived in Va between 1619 and 1627.  If you need more information please send me your address and I'll copy a lot of my papers and mail to you.  This info came from wills, bibles and deeds.  I had a professional genie from VA helping me with some of it.
