The Virginia Dare Fair.........Yearly

August 18, 1587 - Virginia Colonies

Raleigh Citie, England

Present day:  Fort Raleigh, Manteo, Roanoke Island, North Carolina, USA

Come visit us at the Virginia Dare Faire at Fort Raleigh in Manteo each year on August 18th, the birthday of Virginia Dare.  2010 is our fourth year joining the National Park Service for their festival.  The cast of the play is in costume and mingling throughout the day.  Queen Elizabeth herself cuts Virginia's birthday cake and there is plenty for all visitors to share.  The best news is that all of the festivities during the day are free....so come join in and visit us from 11-2 and stay for the play in the evening!!!
