Aurora Missouri "Ladies Needle Club" Quilt; circa 1930s

Aurora Missouri "Ladies Needle Club" Quilt

Barbara Marsh has donated a quilt top to the Lawrence County History Museum.

"The quilt top was made by ladies in Aurora, probably in the 1920s or 30s. It belonged to my grandmother, Mrs. T.H. Loy, wife of General Loy. All of the ladies in the group signed blocks and then embroidered their signatures and sewed them together. It was never finished as a quilt, it's just the top and measures 6' x 8'."
