Have you
ever wanted to contribute your efforts to help out with "Our Knox Site", but
don't have the time or the access to transcribe a whole group of public
records? Well, now here's your chance to contribute! This
forum is based upon submissions made by Knox County researchers, like
you, who would like to make the information in the records that you have
personally looked up and recorded available to other researching the
same people. Just think of all of the time and money that could be
saved if every genealogist would post the information they have gathered
on a public site like this one. In no time at all, we would have
most of the censuses transcribed ONLINE!
So, if you have KNOX COUNTY public records
that you have PERSONALLY researched
(i.e. submissions of scanned data from published sources CANNOT be
accepted. Data from the ACTUAL records themselves are FREE from
copy right and CAN be submitted for inclusion in the forums
below. Just download the file that is applicable to the data you
are submitting). E-mail the info to Michele
mcragg at intersigns dot net
or to Claudia cminor at webmoondance dot com. Please use the samples of information below, which
includes valuable information listed below each record type.
If that information is not listed on the record, please indicate this in
your email. Copied data from the ACTUAL records themselves are
FREE from copyright and CAN be submitted for inclusion in the this
forum, look below to contribute and down load the files to get you
started on your way!
Thank you for your
efforts !
If you have a
photocopy of a page of census records (such as a microfilm copy), please
feel free to submit each of the names on that page, instead of just the name of your
ancestor. Our database will grow more quickly this way!
NOTE: Please do NOT submit records for
individuals who are still living in this forum. They will not be posted.
