Hodges Cemetery Hodges Cemetery is located several hundred yards south of Route 2, approximately two miles east of Rose Hill. It is located in a thicket of locust trees found in the middle of a field, is on private land, and there is no identification. All gravestones have been overturned and were located several inches underground, when the transcriber visited the location in 1994. The transcriber, Robert C. Witham, was furnished a list of gravestones previously transcribed by members of the Johnson Co. Historical Society. He found all stones with the exception of one for Moses and Isaac Hodges. These graves would not have been found without the help of Mrs. Katherine Corkran Dale, a neighborhood resident who led the transcriber to the exact location.
