Denney Cemetery

Compiled and transcribed by Jennifer Smithson and Jill Farnsworth, 
July 2000.

We found the cemetery on Road 25 just east of W hwy.  It is just two
stones.  There are rocks all the way around and it appears only about
enough room to bury maybe three people.  The two stones read:

Mary wife of Jordon Denney
B. Nov. 20, 1801 D. Oct. 16, 1856
aged 41 yrs 10 mo. 26 days
(age doesn't add up-either I transcribed wrong or someone couldn't 
subtract)

Jourden Denney  (name is spelled differently than on the woman's stone)
died Apr.  19, 1851
aged 74 yrs. 7 mo. 21 days
(a large age difference if in fact these two were married)
