The objectives of the organization are
The John L. Patterson Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy’s membership is open to ladies who have attained the age of 16 years and who are blood descendants, lineal or collateral of men and women who served honorably in the Army, Navy, or Civil Service of the Confederate States of America or who gave material aid to the Cause.

Proof of Eligibility is required.

Remember, membership in UDC begins by contacting a chapter and getting more information. Perhaps you are just in the exploratory stage; maybe you have a proven ancestor, or maybe you need help completing your application papers.

We will help you with finding and proving your line to an eligible confederate ancestor. For information on acceptable service and other membership criteria, please visit our national website or contact us.
