The name "United Daughters of the Confederacy" is a registered trademark of the General Organization and may not be used outside the Organization without the express written consent of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
UDC is a non-profit,
non-political worldwide lineage society. Those eligible for active membership
are women who are no less than 16 years of age and who are blood descendants,
lineal or collateral, of men and women who served honorably in service of the
Confederate States of America or gave Material Aid to the Cause.
Membership in the UDC is a unique chance to give something back to your country. It is also an opportunity to spend time with other women who share equal interests, to exchange ideas and just have a time of fellowship.
Missouri UDC chapters are active in numerous
community programs. Here are a few examples.
** Support numerous veterans’ programs, including financial support, care packages to soldiers on active
duty, driving veterans to medical appointments, and comfort items to veterans homes and hospitals
** Financial and clothing assistance to women’s abuse shelters
** Hundreds of volunteer hours to libraries, genealogical research and literacy programs
** Preservation of historic buildings and parks
** Historical and Civil War reenactments
** Local food drives and food kitchens; emergency relief aid
** Scholarship programs for college students
If you share our pride in your heritage and UDC’s commitment to community and country, please consider becoming a member of the Sterling Price Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy.
