Benefits of Membership

The Society invites anyone who is interested in preserving and sharing Iron County's history to become a member. Your membership also includes our quarterly newsletter. Membership dues are a key part of our annual funding that allows us to keep the museum open. We hope you will consider joining us! Annual membership dues are $10.00.

Our membership year runs from April through March. Those joining during the last three months of the membership year will receive the balance of the membership year for free and their dues will be credited to the following year. Example: Someone joining and paying their dues in January 2014 would be considered paid through March 2015.

Our quarterly and annual meetings are held at the Ironton First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Reynolds Street and Knob Street, Ironton, MO. Unless otherwise notified, meetings take place on the third Sunday of January, April, July and October at 2 p.m. Meetings typically open with a program, followed by a brief business meeting and conclude with refreshments. Monthly Board of Directors meetings take place at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of February, March, May, June, August, September, and November. These meetings are held at the Whistle Junction Visitor Center and Museum. The public is always invited to attend any of our meetings.
