I am seeking information about my ggggg-grandparents, David WHITE and Sarah (NEWBROUGH) White. I would love to know where they are buried, and if
there were other children besides their daughter, also named Sarah (who married John Slightom). There is a David White listed on this website as
a veteran of the war of 1812, but I'm not sure if this is the name David. Joshua Newbrough of Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia, was a brother
to Sarah, wife of David White of Howard County, Missouri as proved by land record dated Aug. 23, 1828. and his will probated November 1, 1847:
Land record, Aug. 1828, "Be it known that I have gave unto Sarah White, my sister the SE quarter of section 23 in Range 15 & township 49 & also
the SW quarter of section 13 in the same Range and Twp. To be her use and her husband, David White during their natural lives and afterwards to be
equally divided between Sarah Whites Children."
Land record dated Jan. 26, 1833
"Know all men by these present that I Joshua Newbraugh of the county of Frederick and State of Va. For and in consideration of the love and
affection I ? To John Slightom of the county of Howard and State of Missouri ? Give and granted and by those present do give grant and
confirm unto him the said John Slightom and his heirs forever, 80 acres of land, Situate lying and being in the county of Howard, West half of
the SW section of #13 in township of #49 of Range #15," This should put John SLIGHTOM's land about a mile north of David and
Sarah White property in South Moniteau Township in Howard County. I would appreciate any and all help with this, and will be happy to share
information. Thank you. Cindi Slightom Grim--Mon Sep 15 13:10:56 2003DAVIS...GALLEMORE

My maternal grandfather was Herbert Buschmeyer. His farm was just over the Boonesville bridge in Franklin. The farm was the site of the original
town of Franklin, MO where the Santa Fe Trail started. When he died in his early forties, the farm was inherited by his brother.
His wife, my maternal grandmother, was Isabel Goodwin Buschmeyer Dunn, born Izzy Goodwin, from Booneslick, I believe. After leaving the river
bottom farm at the early death of her husband, she moved to a house on Lucky Street in Fayette.
Her daughters spent their early years on the farm and went to church at Clark's chapel and school in a one room schoolhouse nearby. My mother,
Jean Colleen Buschmeyer Riggs now lives in Pennsylvania. My aunt, Joanne Buschmeyer Slagle, lived in Versailles, MO, married to the surveyor,
Dexter Slagle and is now deceased.
One of Isabel's sisters, Mary Goodwin Rose lived in Fayette and was the first woman elected to public office in Howard County as tax collector.
She was also later known as the wife of Dr. Munn (sic?) and much later as the wife of Howard Sartin.
Some of Isabel and Mary's other siblings were Oaklin (known by Polly, married to George Meyers in Glascow, MO), Jesse, Ruby, William and
Louise.
Turner is a family name from my father's side from St. Louis. Bushmeyer is an alternate spelling of the name of my grandfather.
I would appreciate any help you can give on finding out more about any of these folks.
Thank you very much; Laura Riggs Laura Riggs--Fri Aug 29 16:01:46 2003WILLIAMS...MORGAN
