EVANS, Pleasant killed by civil war bushwackers near his cabin in Howard County Missouri. One of his daughter's, Mary Polly EVANS married an ASBURY. They had a daughter Hannah Elizabeth Asbury who married Abner Brooks. Hannah claimed to be of Cherokee descent Any information?

I am researching the following QUINLEY, Robert Thomas b.1-26-1868 Howard County d. 9-5-1952 Los Angeles, California. He married, Etta Louella BOWMAN. b.1876 Illinois d. 2-12-1955 Pueblo, CO. Her mother is listed on death certificate as Mary Ellen KEELER. I have no other information on Etta and would like help if anyone has info. Robert and Etta had three children Gladys Opal b. 3-3-1894 d. 7-13-1960, Wayman W. b 1-21-1899 d 6-22-1962 and Mabel Pearl. b 12-21-1896 d 10-24-1975. Any family information would be appreciated. WICKWIRE/PULLIAM - Boswell Pulliam married Atey WICKWIRE 1-1-1809. I have quite a bit of information both before and after them if anyone would like it. CABASSIER...GIRARDIER
I'm looking for info on Zeke CABASSIER, he was born about 1820-30. He died in Franklin or New Franklin, Howard County, Mo., but I don't have a date for his death. It is said he killed someone and was later killed in self-defense. He had a sister Therese, who married James GIRARDIER in 1842 in Washington Co, Mo. The CABASSIERS were at least half Indian, also I would like to know what Indian tribe was livin in Howard Co. in the early 1800's; I found the history of the Co. quite interesting.

I am looking for information on my great-grandmother Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" McCLAIN BALLEW. She married Albert BALLEW and they lived in Howard County, Glasgow area. My g-g-g-grandfather, John Nelson Smith, was b. in 1822, the son of Andrew Smith and Sarah Scribner, who came to Howard Co., MO from VA in about 1825. John married Willie Ellen Willis, b. 1829 in VA, the daughter of Robert and Sarah K. Willis, who came from VA by way of KY in about 1845. John and Ellen married 8 Feb 1848 in Howard Co. They are listed on the 1850, 1860, and 1870 census there. Ellen died in 1872 in MO, and John died in Childress Co., TX in 1903. Ellen had 5 sisters, 4 of whom married. I would like to know more about them. They were Martha L. Willis, b. abt. 1831 VA, m. William Harris Swinney about 1850; Mary E. Willis b. abt. 1835 VA, m. Pryor Burton Feb. 1856; Lucy Catherine Willis, b. 1836 KY, m. John Marion Harris 10 Jan 1856; Ann Willis, b.abt. 1836 KY; Harriet L. Willis, b. abt. 1841 KY, m. ______Crowder abt. 1860.

I have found that a Julia Keithley married Ransom Street and lived in Howard County.In the 1850 census they are found near Corbin Street. I beleive that Julia is the sister to Thomas Keithley as he was living with them. I hope that someone is on the line with Street so I can get information.

I am looking for information mainly on Thomas KEITHLEY who married Julia Ann MEAD daughter of David and Hester MEAD, on November 23,1839 in Howard County. They bought land from John D. RICKETTS on January 5,1880 and it was located in section 14,twp50,range 15. They had sons Robert Lee born 1874, Harry born August 25,1876 and died December 18,1918 and is buried in Boone County,Mo near Harrisburg. I am trying to find out when and where Thomas and Julia died. They died after the 1910 census. Harry married Mary Alice DRANE daughter of Joseph and Lucinda DRANE and Mary died in 1968 and is buried in Boone County also. Their children are Emmet Lee who was born in 1901 and died in December 20,1918, Thela died in 1912 and Julia born 1909. Olive KEITHLEY was a sister to Thomas and she was married to Robert ROWLAND. Robert was a judg and he died December 23,1878 and is buried in Bethlehem Cemetery near Harrisburg in Boone County. Olive died in 1892 and is buried with Robert. Their children are Homer, Luella, James, Sallie, Thomas, Isaac, Cora, Robert L., William J, Olam. William died in 1934 in Howard county and Olam died in 1941 in Howard County and they are buried in Fayete Cemetery. Sarah KEITHLEY was a sister also and she married Azariah GRIGSBY in 1867 in Howard County. She died in 1904. Their children are Harry died after 1890, Paul Allen born 1871 and died in 1902, Olive Rowland born 1872 and died after 1978. Nancy TAYLOR married Dickerson SMITH in 1823 in Howard County and Dickerson died 1868. Dickerson and Nancy deeded a tract of land about five acres to the trustees of the Smith Chapel in July 1856. Nancy was a sister to Ira TAYLOR of Boone County who is my ansector. I will be glad to share what I had so far with anyone and hope to be helped also.

Looking for any information about a Doak ANDERSON from Howard County, Mo. We think this was his name!!! Probably born about 1840 His son, Samuel Price ANDERSON, born May 15, 1861, Prarie Hill, Mo---or Bowling Green, Mo.---is my grandfather. My great grandfather was rumored to have been captured in Warsaw and taken to Rock Island Il. during the Civil War.--where he died of scurvy. My records show he had a daughter born in 1863.
