Surname: ROBINSON, NELSON, CHANEY/CHENY
Submitter: Derek Robinson([email protected])
Date: 17 Nov, 2004

I am looking for information on William H (or N) ROBINSON, enumerated in Trail Creek Township in 1870 and Fox Creek Township in 1880. A spouse was Rosella NELSON. William and Rosella were married 1 October 1865. Rosella had been married to Edwin NELSON on 1 December 1857, in Iowa. Her maiden name was CHANEY.
However, I think William had a prior spouse named Lucinda, based on these points:
- In the 1870 census there are two ROBINSON children born prior to 1865: Rosetta (1860) and Harrison (1863).
- There is an entry for William H and Lucinda ROBERTSON, at the correct ages, in dwelling 1379, page 198 of the 1860 Federal Census for Trail Creek.
- Finally, there is a headstone at Yankee Ridge Cemetery for Lucinda ROBINSON, d. 10 April 1865, "Wife of W. H. Robinson".
Any information on the marriage of W.H. ROBINSON and Lucinda ?, or the death of Lucinda ROBINSON, or William H ROBINSON, will be greatly appreciated.
Derek Robinson
