Big Springs Cemetery

BIG SPRINGS CEMETERY, HARRISON COUNTY, MO

Big Springs Cemetery is located in section 16 of Butler Township in Harrison County. This cemetery has the distinction of having more names associated with it than any other in the county. It is also known as Bell, Bell Springs, Pumbla, and Old Lebanon Cemetery. From Bethany, go south on Highway 69 approximately four miles to blacktop P and turn right (west). Go west approximately three miles to blacktop TT and turn left (south). Go to West 377th St (gravel road) and turn right (west). Follow 377th a short distance, just past 135th St (gravel). The cemetery is north of the road, almost in the middle of the section, on private property with no public access. The cemetery is all but gone, with only a couple of stones still visible.
