Joe South 83 years old retired farmer of 923 Second Street,
Poplar Bluff, MO died at 12:30
p. m. Tuesday in Riverview Manor Nursing Home where he had been
a patient one day Mr South had been in ill health for six
months.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Friday in the
Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Ford will officiate with
burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr South was born March 15, 1892 at Lake City, Arkansas he was
of the Baptist Faith, On Dec. 19, 1929 he was married to the
former Mary Turner at Kennett.
He lived at Kennett for many years and was a farmer.
Visitation begins at noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife;Mary Naoma (Turner) South
