Maudie Leola (Rogers) Wright

Maudie Leola (Rogers) Wright, 94, of Kennett, died Saturday, March 17, 2001, at her residence.

Born. Jan. 24, 1907, in Hornersville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late John Breckenridge and Lydia Ann Louise Dalby Rodgers.

On Nov. 21, 1931, she married Walter Samuel Wright, who preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1967.

She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Charlene Scroggins, Ruby Lynn Wright and Lydia Ann Wright; four brothers, Dewey, Cecil, Ted and Frank Rodgers and three sisters, Juanita Rodgers, Martha Ann Carnell and Savanah Carnell.

Survivors include four sons, Walter J. and Gordon D. Wright, both of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Don E. Wright, of St. Louis, Mo. and Frank 0. Wright, of Sikeston, Mo.; six daughters, Billie Van Fulgham, of Washington State, Sammye J. Ratliff, of Arnold, Mo.,; Nellie L. Sanders, of Memphis, Tenn., Leola L. Rebstock, of- Kennett, Patricia A. Causey, of Sikeston and Jo Carolyn Nesslein of Cape Girardeau.; 27 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Revs.~ Gene Lancaster and Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
