- This house set directly accross from the school and kitty cross from the church . Those three buildings were all there was to Pool and all three are gone now . Between 1935 and 1955 six of the Brashers kids went to Pool school at one time or another . When recess came any of the kids that were to young to go to school would head accross the road to play at school with all of us. We didn't always live there , we lived in Arkansas some and in the Sumach area some too .
My Cousin Delbert Carter tore down the School house , I'm not sure when, but when I came back in 1986 he gave me three bricks from the school, that's all the extra weight we could haul home , the bricks are double bricks ,that school would never have fallen down on it's own .I treasure them and still have them !
