one of the earliest settlements -
population decreased when the merchants started moving
down towards the railroad tracks in what is now
Campbell - was given the name because it was at one
time 4 miles from various transporation lines
(however, today I find this hard to believe since it
was supposedly 4 miles from the railroad and 4 miles
from he river but neither is that far away now and was
not then so who knows what the real truth about the
name was)
