Tuck Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Gibson Presbyterian Church for Powell T. Tuck, 76 year old Gibson resident who died June 10th at a Kennett hospital. The services were conducted by Rev. M. L. Paskel and Bro. Norman Hedge, and interment was in Pine City Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Fred Todd, Earl Todd, Bill Like, Elmus Like, Roy Waltrip and Paul Hays. Powell Thurman Tuck, son of Paul and Belle Francis Tuck, was born October 18, 1885, at Anna, Ill.; departed this life June 10, 1962, at the age of 76 years 7 months and 12 days. He moved to Missouri in his youth. In 1908 he was united in marriage to Miss Betty Ann Griggs and they were the parents of four children. She succumbed in 1918. In 1920 he was married to Miss Frona Williams of Holcomb, and they were the parents of four children. Mr. Tuck professed faith in Christ an an early age and remained faithful until death. Survivors include his wife, Frona; five daughters, Mrs. Alice Harris and Mrs. Annabelle Kirk of Gibson, Mrs. Lorene Tubbs of St. Louis, Mrs. Lynda Neeley of Campbell and Mrs. Phylis Hays of Clyde, Michigan; three sons, Paul Tuck of West Alton, Illinois, J.C. Tuck of Campbell and Phillip Tuck of St. Charles, Missouri; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Jones of Holcomb and one step-sister, Mrs. Lou Beaver of White Oak, 27 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, other more distant relatives and many friends. |
