Ira Foster Moore
Born: November 16, 1880 Died: June 21, 1953 Funeral Services For Ira Foster Moore Held Tuesday Funeral services were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Senath for Ira Foster Moore, a resident of Dunklin County of fifty years standing, who died Sunday evening at his home near Senath of a heart attack. He was seventy two years old at the time of his death. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C.D. Butler. Interment was in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife the former Miss Annie Johnson, four sons, and one daughter. His children are; Edgar of Kennett; Ira and Van of Senath; Bill Wayne of St. Louis; and Mrs. Warren Beacham of Senath. Thirteen grandchildren also survive as well as other relatives. Born November 16, 1880 in Crockett County Tennessee, Ira who was generally known as "Foss" Moore, was the son of Andrew and Rebecca Moore. In 1902, he married Miss Annie Johnson, also of Crockett County Tennessee, and to this union seven children were born of whom five survive. As a young man he moved to Dunklin County where for about fifty years he has been a farmer in the South Dunklin community. He had been a member of the Babtist Church for the past fifty years. Pallbearers for the funeral were active: Ira McNew, Winston Harris, Cecil Wilson; George Beacham, Hezzie Highfill, and Charlie Smith; Honorary, Bill Hullett, Raymond Phillips, W.R. Boyer, T.A. Cook, Hillis Creed, and Vander Harris. |
