Born: February 28, 1943 Died: October 23, 2004 Joe Moore Tuesday, October 26, 2004 Daily Dunklin Democrat Newspaper, Kennett, Dunklin County, Missouri Joe Foster Moore, 61, of Sikeston, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Born Feb. 28, 1943, in Senath, Mo., son of the late Van and Margie Mae Weaver Moore, he was a 1961 graduate of Senath High School, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. On Dec. 22, 1962, he married Charlotte Norman, who preceded him in death, May 26, 1969. On June 25, 1971, he married Vicki Curtis who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Joe Foster Moore Jr., of Sikeston, Henry Wayne Moore and wife, Sherri, of Festus, Mo. and Christopher Curtis Moore and wife, Anne, of Sikeston; one brother, Jim Moore and wife, Carol, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one sister, Sandra Johnson and husband, Gaylon, of Merlouge, La.; four grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, Mark and Allison Moore. He was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Moore. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 26, at First Baptist Church in Hayti, Mo., with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating. Burial was in Senath Cemetery following a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. Pallbearers were Keith Milligan, John Raines, Larry Masterson, Ed Edwards, Carlyn Bowman, Jim Pemberton and Gene Turnage. Honorary pallbearers were Missouri State Highway Patrol officers and Missouri Weight Inspectors. |
