Services Are Conducted for D. S. Brown
Funeral services for Dewey Samuel Brown were conducted today at 2:30 p.m. at the McDaniel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jessie Parrott officiating. Interment was in Liberty Cemetery near Caruth with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett in charge of arrangements.
The son of Lee and Mary Johnson Brown he was born June 3, 1898 near Kennett. He died Monday at the Dunklin County Memorial Hospital at the age of 65.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Kirby Brown of Kennett; four sons, Lee Thomas Brown of Houston, Texas, Floyd Brown of Piggott, Arkansas, Wesley and Samuel Brown both of Flint, Michigan; one daughter Mrs. James Tingle of Kennett; three brothers, Leonard Brown of Lutesville, Conrad Brown of Kennett and Houston Brown of Campbell; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Smith and Mrs. Lorene Yount both of St. Louis; and 13 grandchildren.
Two children proceded him in death in fancy.
Pallbearers were Kelcey Wills, Bryan Baker, Frankie Brown, Ronnie Brown, Gene Johnson and Wayne Pelts.
