1820 - abt. 1870. Born in Wayne County, Missouri.
VANCE, ELIZABETH 'BETTY' CARNAHAN
1810 - After 1880. Daughter
of Hugh Carnahan & Elizabeth Margaret Tennyson. Born Murfreesboro,
Rutherford, Tennessee. Died aft. 1880 census at Gladden Dent County. She
is listed on the 1880 census of Franklin Twp, Dent County, age 70,
living with her son William. Children: Nancy (1840-1901, m. William
Short), James W.
(1840-1922, buried at Short Cemetery), Solomon (1842-1900, m. Margaret___),
Leanor (or Eleanor) (1843-?), John (1846 or 1847 - ?, m. Elizabeth Wortman
on Oct. 8, 1868, Dent Co.), Hugh (1852-1902) and William Henry
(1854-1932). (Nancy, Hugh & Wm. H. buried at Short Cemetery).
VANCE, SOLOMON 'SOL' 1842 - abt. 1900. Son of John Vance & Elizabeth Carnahan. Married Margaret ____. Children: Marion, Charley and Sarah F. Edward.
