BABB, NELLIE CHRISTA ANNA     Sep. 26, 1957 - Jan. 24, 1958.    Daughter of Jackie Babb & Brunhilde Engelbrecht. Born at Karlsrube, Germany. Sister of Stanley Lee and Linda Sue. (Jackie is son of Walter Babb & Nellie Foster).

BABB, RALPH WALDO & DOYLE LYMAN   Born & died Apr. 19, 1935.    Infants of Walter Babb & Nellie Foster. They were part of a set of triplets. The third child was Margaret Ann. They were the first triplets ever born in Dent County. (Walter Babb is buried at New Hope Cemetery). 

BABB, TENNESSEE ANN TIPTON    Oct. 15, 1860 - Jan. 23, 1948.    Daughter of Joel Tipton & Esther Thurman. Married Lyman Washington 'Wash' Babb Apr. 10, 1878 in Dent County.  Children: Benjamin H., Alcy E. Miller, Joseph Z., Walter, (City Marshall Big John) John Wesley, Anna Gresham Hively, David & five children who died young: Lyman W. is buried at Soldiers Plot at Cedar Grove Cemetery). Tennessee Ann was a member of First Baptist since age 18.

BECKER, JOHN W.      May, 1862 - 1912.    (This grave & three others of family members is enclosed by a concrete wall). J. W. married Lillie Golden in 1883 in Simmons Mount (She was born Jul, 1868 in Missouri, the daughter of David & Margaret Golden. Lillie moved to Denver, CO). Children of John W. & Lillie: Arthur Clyde (May, 1889 - 1941, buried at Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Chicago, IL, married Annie____); Charles F. (Dec., 1884 - Apr. 3, 1963, buried at Mount Greenwood Cemetery, married 1) Maud Murray of Salem in 1906, and 2) Grace Keeppl); Beatrice Napper (born Jan., 1897) and Edna Margaret Benedict, (born May, 1891). He was a brother of Al & Otto (of Crawford Co.) and Clara (buried at Cherry Valley Cemetery, married Nelson Shoults). The Becker family lived Cherry Valley Mine at one time.

BELL, PEARL MAXINE     Died Jan. 24, 1922    Age 11 yrs., 6 mos., 1 day. Daughter of Grant Bell & Martha Golden (parents moved to St. Louis). She was a sister of Mrs. Ross and Mrs. Crabtree.

Married 1) Thomas Jefferson Stagner, Jr. (1861-1930) on Jun. 14, 1903; children Bertie May (1902-1914); Waynetta (born & died 1905); Thelma Waters (1906 - ) and Myrtle Marie Stagner (1908-1987). Married 2) Isaac Newton 'Newt' Callahan (1883-1937) on Jan. 25, 1933; no known children. Joined Christian Church at age 18.

COX, THOMAS     1838 - 1924.    Married 1st Caroline Sherman; children Rueben, William, Mary Hannah (m. Dudley Smith, buried at Carr Cemetery) and Elizabeth A. (m. Charles Olney). He married 2nd Nancy Lamborn and 3rd Margaret Chambers Pect Denton (buried at Berry Cemetery, children Gertie B. (died in infancy); Mae Marie Nichols (Mrs. Oliver Luster, buried at Mount Herman Cemetery) and Raymond. He was the stepfather of Franklin Denton (buried at Berry Cemetery) & E. L. John Wells, moved to Belt MT) and William Harrison (buried at New Hope Cemetery, m. 1) Lula Bessie Kell, m. 2) Rhoda Woolsey). He knew Jesse James, the famous Missouri outlaw.

(died in infancy); Mrs. Dennis Boyher & Brenda (Mrs. Mike Brugger). He was a meat cutter, a Frisco & Ely Walker employee; member of First Christian Church.

     May 12, 1875 - Feb. 2, 1929.    Son of Louisa Casey Laffoon Tripp. Brother of Alex Laffoon (killed automobile accident, buried at Bellfontaine OH); Half brother of John Casey (buried at Dry Fork Cemetery) & Rachel Lowell (AR). Was raised by the Hasten family. He was a member of Round Pond Baptist; funeral held Deep Ford School.

'TINA' NORRIS     Feb. 18, 1880 - Aug. 16, 1972.    Daughter of Wisner Norris & Columbia Norris (married 3 Sep 1865, Dent County; buried at Union Cemetery); member of Round Pond Baptist. Children: Robert Earl (1902-1933), Bessie Thelma (1904-1986, m.  Wiley Click); twin of Bessie (born & died 1904) and another child who died in infancy.

LAFFOON, ROBERT EARL     Oct. 19, 1902 - May 15, 1933.    The only son of Thomas Stephen Laffoon & Tinna Canzadia Norris. He married Helen E. Baird Martin (she later m. a Hart). Children: Robert E. & Tommy O. (married Thelma Mae Malone); Helen E. Hart, b. c 1909, d. 2/18/1989, Rolla, buried at Hickory Grove Cemetery-Vichy.

In 1900 the Olney family lived in Township 1, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. In 1910 they lived at Corrumpa, Union, New Mexico. By 1920 they were in Hooker, Texas, Oklahoma.

ROSS, WILLIAM      May 26, 1846 - Apr. 15, 1916.    Married Izoria S. Nancy Jane Golden in 1876 in Dent County and had six chilldren. Three children died young. He moved to Missouri when he was very young.

    WARDEN,  ZELDA LORENE COX     Sep. 5, 1905 - Nov. 25, 1984.     Daughter of Rueben S. Cox & Mary E. Curtis. She was a member of Salem United Baptist. They h ad three children: Ruby (m. Lloyd Medlock, buried at New Hope Cemetery), Buford Jr.  (m. Norma) and Elaine (m. Rev. Lowell Anderson).
