ENON BAPTIST CHURCHYARD
The Enon Baptist Church of Lenox was
originally located on George Gibbs place near old Barnitz
Lake (Hwy D)
The new road bypasses the Gibbs homeplace
& on old churchyard which is now in the woods and is
not maintained.

CALLAHAN, REV. WILLIAM CICERO Aug. 15, 1832 Jul. 27, 1886. Son of Robert Callahan & Mary Welch (bur. Round Pond Cemetery). Married 1st Sarah Catherine Bell, Mar. 21, 1854. Children Rev. Wauson (bur. Round Pond Cemetery, Baptist minister), D. F. 'Doc' (m. Cordelia Sturdivant, left Dent Co. ca 1904, to Springfield, worked as Frisco car carpenter, d. 7/26/1944, bur. Springfield) and Julia A. (1st wife of Alfred Greene Boyd--- she is buried at Mount Herman Cemetery). Rev. W. C. married 2nd Mary Catherine Agee McNeill in 1876 in Dent County (buried at McNeill Cemetery); children Grace (m. Jack Chester, he is buried at Lake Spring Cemetery); Lulu (married Frank Dye, is buried in St. Louis; Ida M. (married Ernest E. Martin, is buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Rev. W. C. was an early Dent County Baptist Minister, established Enon Baptist Church.
EMMOUS, CHARLES died Sep. 27, 1844, aged 62 years.

HUSBAND & WIFE:
JONES, JUDGE JAMES MADISON
May 28, 1810 - Sep. 8, 1874. Born
in North Carolina. Children: Mary (b. ca 1840 in Alabama;
buried at Rocky Ford CO, married John Thomas Johns); Elender 'Ellen' (married John A. McNeill,
buried at New
Harmony Cemetery). He came to Missouri from Tennessee in 1843 and lived
in Texas
Township. He was a Civil War Federal Army veteran. He served as a Judge
on the Dent County
Court.
JONES, NANCY LUSK
Feb. 17, 1814 - Nov. 8, 1872. Born in North Carolina.
