     1840 – 1920.   
DELCOUR, MARGARET S.
MERCILLE    No dates.    She was Cherokee Indian ancestry. Some of their nine children were: Louis Edmond, John W. (m. Ethel Leona 'Jennie' Edwards). John is buried at Sligo Cemetery); Marguerite (m. Andrew Jackson 'Jack' Nelson, moved to Miami OK), Mary (m. Riley Lewis).

DELCOUR, GEORGE STEPHENSON    No dates.    Son of Louis Edmond Delcour & Mary Jane Mills.

HUSBAND & WIFE:  Married 1896.
DELCOUR, LOUIS EDMOND
      Mar. 24, 1873 - Mar. 8, 1942.    Son of James Nathan Delcour & Margaret S. Mercille. Born at Old Scotia, Crawford Co. At age 18 James Nathan moved to Sligo, was employed at Sligo Furnace Co. Moved to Cook Station to farm about 1902 where he spent the rest of his life. He was a member of the  Masonic Lodge. DELCOUR, MARY JANE MILLS     Nov. 23, 1865 - Nov. 23, 1947.    Daughter of Michael & Rosa Mills. Born in Pittsburgh PA. James Nathan & Mary Jane had four children: Lewis, John Emmett, James Mills, (buried at North Lawn Cemetery) and Mary (m. Clifford E. Norris, children Delores & Edmond Norris, and moved to St. Louis).

DELCOUR, JOHN EMMETT     Jan. 29, 1908 - Mar. 9, 1928.    Son of Louis Edmond Delcour & Mary Jane Mills. Born in Dent County; diedf at Clovis NM of tuberculosis. He was a graduate Salem High

DELCOUR, LEWIS EDMOND, JR.    Sep. 4, 1901 - Apr. 10, 1931.    Son of Louis Edmond Delcour & Mary Jane Mills. Married Alta Leonard of Salem on Sep. 1, 1920, 2 sons; Lloyd Edwin (m. Marjorie Nelson) & Howard John; he  & his wife were members of Salem Methodist Church

KETTINGER, BIRTY F.  'BURTON'         Oct. 30, 1898 - Jan. 22, 1909.    'BERNIE' Son of Conrad Kettinger & Rosa C. Mills. This family lived on a farm on Hutchins Creek, east of Salem.

HUSBAND & WIFE: 
MILLS, MICHAEL   
Died Mar. 23, 1898, age 62.   
MILLS, ROSA
     Died Jul. 29, 1897, age 60.   Children: Katie, Mary Jane (m. Louis E. Delcour), Rosa C. (m. Conrad L. Kettinger), Margureite 'Maggie' m. Robert E. Maledy), two foster sons: John Rowan & Thomas Hammonds. Moved to St. Louis in 1871 and back to Dent County in 1874. Later settled on a farm at Cook Station.

*There are 9 graves in this family plot on land still owned by members of Mills/Delcour family. The farm is located on the Meramec River near the Dent-Crawford County lines
