HAGLER, JOHN ALLEN
     No dates.    Married 1st Rachel_______. Children: Thomas Jefferson (m. Lucretia J. Simms, buried Cedar Grove Cemetery), Elizabeth (m. 1) William Price, m. 2) Samuel Asbridge, 1872, Dent Co., buried Empire Cemetery), Melvina (m. Bartlett 'Bart' Simms, 1867, Dent Co., she d. 10/20/1913, Coalingo CA), Florence Victoria (7/22/1855 – 6/22/1919, m. Alexander Cape, 1875, Dent Co., moved to Texas Co.). John married 2nd Seaney McCartney Montague; their children: John Wesley (m. Amanda C. Spoon, buried Cedar Grove Cemetery); George Allen (m. Vernetta Vandalia Warden, buried Warden Cemetery) and Hulda. The family moved to Dent County in 1867 from Randolph Co. IL, and located a few miles SE of Salem near Dry Valley.
HAGLER, SEANEY MONTAGUE
     Died in June, 1900.    Married 1st to a Mr. McCartney. One child, Scott McCartney.

SIMMS, LUVINA 'VINE' CUMMINS    Born about 1814 in Kentucky.    Daughter of Samuel Cummins & Elizabeth Cole Cummins; sister of John Cummins. Vine married 2nd Jackson Simms on Apr. 17, 1834 in Washington County; children James, Preston, Martin, Lecretia J. (buried Cedar Grove Cemetery, m. Thomas J. Hagler), Bartlett 'Bart' (b. c1848 MO, d. 5/8/1833, Selma CA, buried Fresno CA, m. Melvina Hagler, 1867, Dent Co., children Mrs. Louis Northrup, Mae Randall and T. R. - all in California). They settled on what was later the Young farm on Dry Valley, east of Salem where Young School was located. Jackson is buried on this farm.
